Retail management software

Billing, stock and purchase on one set of numbers, across every store.

KaizenSpark Tech builds retail and distribution systems — point of sale, stock across multiple stores, purchase orders, supplier records and sales reporting — so the till, the stock register and the accounts stop disagreeing with each other.

What this page is. Described from the problems operators in this sector actually bring us, and from systems we have built for them. Clients are withheld under confidentiality, so what follows covers the problem, the solution and the capability rather than the customer. More of our work is on our solutions.

Who it is for

Does this sound like your operation?

A multi-store or multi-channel retailer or distributor whose stock exists in more than one place and whose billing system does not know about all of it.

What it looks like

Kaizen Retail, the product behind this.

The same system, shown as it would be configured for this sector. An illustration, not a screenshot.

Interface illustration, drawn with this site’s own design tokens. Sample figures, not a running system.

The problem

What usually brings someone to us.

01

The till does not talk to the stock register

A sale reduces stock on paper hours or days later, so the system is never a reliable answer.

02

Stock figures differ by store

Each branch keeps its own count, and head office cannot see one number.

03

Out-of-stock is discovered at the counter

Reorder happens after a customer has already been turned away.

04

Purchase orders are raised from memory

Nobody can see consumption rate against what is already on order.

05

Returns and damages leak

They are adjusted informally and never reconcile against the ledger.

06

Online and in-store are separate businesses

Two catalogues, two stock figures, and a manual reconciliation between them.

What we build

What the system would cover.

01

Point of sale

Fast counter billing that keeps working when the connection drops, and syncs when it returns.

02

One stock figure

Per item, per store, updated by the transaction rather than by a clerk.

03

Purchase and suppliers

Indents, orders, receipts and supplier history against consumption.

04

Reorder levels

Per item and per store, so the list of what to order is generated rather than remembered.

05

Multi-channel catalogue

One catalogue and one stock pool behind both the store and the website.

06

Sales reporting

By store, by item, by period, read from the transactions themselves.

Integrations

What it would connect to.

Payment terminals and gateways, GST-compliant invoicing, accounting software, and marketplace or storefront platforms where you already sell. Barcode and weighing hardware where the counter needs it.

How a build runs

The same five stages, whatever the sector.

01

Trace

We follow the work as it runs today and write it down — where the hours go, where data is re-keyed, where errors enter.

02

Scope

Deliverables, integration points, phases and an explicit out-of-scope list, agreed in writing before any code exists.

03

Build

Working software in reviewable increments, with a running environment you can open at any point during the build.

04

Measure

Type checks, automated tests and a manual pass on the paths that matter.

05

Improve

Architecture notes and runbooks ship with the build, then we keep reading the numbers with you.

06

What comes as standard

Written scope, documented handover, and IP transferred to you on final payment. Not extras.

Questions

What people ask before commissioning this.

Will billing keep working if the internet drops?
That is a design requirement, not a feature request, for anyone running a physical counter. The till holds the sale locally and syncs when the connection returns.
Can it handle more than one GST rate and HSN code per bill?
Yes, and it has to — a mixed basket is the normal case, not the exception.
We already use Tally. Does this replace it?
Usually not. The operational system handles stock and billing and posts to your accounting software; replacing a working ledger is rarely the cheapest answer.
How long before we can bill on it?
That depends on how many stores, how clean the item master is and whether historic stock has to come across. We scope it after seeing the data rather than quoting a number first.
