Case studies

Selected engineering and
automation work.

Systems we have designed and built across manufacturing, retail, logistics, education, recycling and professional services. Most of our client work sits under NDA, so engagements are described by the problem and the capability rather than by the client. Each entry below states what it is.

There are no percentages on this page. That is deliberate, and the next section explains why.

Case 01 · AI & Automation

Bulk CV intake, read by a machine before a human sees it

Our solution

What was happening

A recruitment firm receives applications faster than anyone can read them. The bottleneck is not the decision about a candidate — it is the reading pass that stands between an application arriving and a shortlist existing. Every CV has to be opened, skimmed and keyed into whatever system holds candidates, in whatever format the applicant chose to send it.

What we built

Bulk CV intake parsed into structured candidate records — skills, experience and contact details — with a confidence score attached to each extraction and a review queue for anything the model was not sure about. The queue is the important part: the system is built to hand uncertain cases to a person rather than guess and be quietly wrong.

How it ran

Against our five stages

The parsing itself was never the hard part. The work was deciding what the system should do when it is unsure, and making that visible rather than silent.

Extraction accuracy measured against a human-checked sample, not asserted
Confidence threshold tuned with the client, not chosen by us
Review queue sized so a person can actually clear it
Handover notes covering how to retrain and re-tune

Read this one if: you receive documents in volume and someone reads every one of them before any decision gets made. Recruitment is the obvious case; invoices, claims and purchase orders have the same shape.

Case 02 · Dashboards & Internal Tools

Taking a store off the founder’s laptop

Our solution

What was happening

An e-commerce operation grows to the point where the daily running of it lives in one spreadsheet and one person’s browser tabs. Catalogue, orders, inventory and fulfilment are all tracked somewhere, but not in the same somewhere, and nobody except the founder can safely touch any of it.

What we built

An operations console covering catalogue, orders, inventory and fulfilment, with role-based access so staff can do their own jobs without being able to break everything else, and an audit trail so a change can be traced to a person.

How it ran

Against our five stages

Role design came before feature design. Each distinct role adds screens, permissions and test paths, so agreeing who does what first kept the build from doubling.

Roles and permissions agreed before any screen was drawn
Audit trail on every state change, not only on deletes
Built against a copy of real catalogue data
Runbooks for the operations team, not only for developers

Read this one if: one person is the single point of failure for your daily operations, and a spreadsheet is doing a job a system should be doing.

Case 03 · Automation

An intake process rebuilt on infrastructure the organisation already owned

Our solution

What was happening

An internship programme handles applications, allocation, progress tracking, certificates and reporting — each stage touched by hand, each one a place where an applicant can be forgotten. The organisation already paid for Google Workspace and had no appetite for another subscription or another login.

What we built

End-to-end handling of the intake, built on Google Apps Script and Workspace: applications in, allocation, progress tracking, certificate generation and reporting out. It runs inside the tools the organisation already owned and already knew how to administer.

How it ran

Against our five stages

The constraint shaped the solution. Building on Workspace rather than a new platform meant no new licence, no new access review, and no new system for someone to learn — which is often worth more than a tidier architecture.

No new subscription introduced
Runs under the organisation’s own Workspace administration
Certificate generation templated, not hand-assembled
Written up so their own staff can change it

Read this one if: a recurring intake — applications, admissions, onboarding, registrations — is handled by hand, and you would rather not add another platform to administer.

Case 04 · AI & Automation

Support on the channel people actually answer

Our solution

What was happening

In much of India, email goes unread and WhatsApp does not. A business sending status updates and reminders by email is sending them into a void, while its support queue fills with questions it has already answered a hundred times.

What we built

Status updates, reminders and first-line support delivered over the WhatsApp Business API, with escalation rules that route anything uncertain to a human instead of guessing. Approved message templates, and a clear boundary between what the bot answers and what it hands over.

How it ran

Against our five stages

The escalation rules were the design work. A support bot that answers confidently when it should not is worse than no bot, because the customer believes it.

Escalation thresholds agreed with the support team
Template approval handled before launch, not after
Platform and message fees on the client’s own account
Every automated reply logged and reviewable

Read this one if: your customers reach you on WhatsApp, your team answers the same questions repeatedly, and you want automation that knows when to stop.

Case 05 · Dashboards

A dashboard whose numbers match the system

Our solution

What was happening

A learning platform holds cohorts, attendance, progress and outcomes. Reporting on it runs off a nightly export, which means every number anyone looks at is yesterday’s, and reconciling a discrepancy means asking which version of the truth you are holding.

What we built

A reporting and administration layer reading live operational records rather than a nightly export, so the number on screen is the number in the system. Cohorts, attendance, progress and outcomes, available when someone asks rather than the next morning.

How it ran

Against our five stages

Reading live records rather than a copy removes a whole category of argument. The work was in the data pipeline underneath, not in the charts on top.

Reads live records, no nightly reconciliation step
Data quality checked at the source before any chart was built
Figures traceable back to the underlying record
Pipeline documented for whoever maintains it next

Read this one if: people in your business do not trust the reports, or two systems give two answers to the same question.

About these write-ups

What is and is not published here.

Every system below was designed and built by us. Most were delivered under non-disclosure, so the client is not named, no client data or screenshots appear, and proprietary implementation detail is left out. What is described is the problem, the solution and the capability.

Performance figures are not published on this page. Where an outcome was measured, we will share the baseline, the method and the result on a call rather than put a percentage on a web page that nobody can check. Ask about any of these →

Key capabilities

  • Admissions intake with document checklists
  • Daily attendance by class and section
  • Fee ledger with outstanding-by-class reporting
  • Timetable management and substitution handling
  • Parent portal and notification routing

Our solution 02 · Retail

Retail Billing, Inventory & Sales Intelligence

India + international

Challenge

A retailer with more than one branch cannot tell which stock sits where, which lines are about to run out, or which branch is actually profitable. Purchase decisions are made from memory.

Solution

Stock management, purchase orders, sales reporting and low-stock alerts, with integration into compatible billing, POS and e-commerce systems rather than replacing what already works.

Key capabilities

  • Stock on hand across branches
  • Purchase orders with reorder points
  • Low-stock alerts before the shelf is empty
  • Sales reporting by branch, line and period
  • Integration with supported POS and billing systems

Client withheld under confidentiality. Figures are not published.

Our solution 03 · Recycling

Scrap Dealer & Recycling Management Software

India + UAE + international

Challenge

A scrap yard records weighbridge entries on slips, rates in a notebook and settlements from memory. Gross and tare weights get transposed, material rates change daily, and reconciling a supplier at month end is an argument rather than a lookup.

Solution

Supplier records, weighbridge entries with gross and tare weights, material rates, stock, purchase and sales transactions, dispatches and settlement tracking — built for the way a yard actually trades.

Key capabilities

  • Weighbridge entry with gross, tare and net
  • Material rate cards with effective dates
  • Supplier ledger and settlement tracking
  • Purchase and sales transaction history
  • Dispatch records and stock position

Client withheld under confidentiality. Figures are not published.

Key capabilities

  • Lead capture from forms and messaging
  • Discovery-call booking with reminders

Our solution 06 · SMEs and service businesses

AI-Powered Business Workflow Automation

India + international

Challenge

A service business spends hours a week on work that is repetitive but not simple — reading enquiries and deciding where they go, pulling data out of documents, writing up meetings, creating the tasks that follow.

Solution

Controlled AI workflows and system integrations covering enquiry classification, document processing, meeting summaries, task creation and CRM updates — with a human review step wherever the model is uncertain.

Key capabilities

  • Enquiry classification and routing
  • Document data extraction with confidence scoring
  • Meeting summaries and action extraction
  • Automatic task and CRM record creation
  • Human review queue for uncertain cases

Client withheld under confidentiality. Figures are not published.

Our solution 07 · Wholesale and distribution

Wholesale Distribution & Order Management

India + international

Challenge

A distributor takes dealer orders by phone and WhatsApp, checks stock by shouting across the warehouse, and tracks outstanding payments on a printed statement that is out of date by the time it is handed over.

Key capabilities

  • Dealer ordering with customer-specific pricing
  • Live stock availability at order time
  • Dispatch status visible to the dealer
  • Outstanding payment tracking per account
  • Product catalogue with price-list versions

Our solution 08 · Service companies

Field Service & Maintenance Management

India + international

Challenge

An equipment dealer or repair company allocates jobs by phone, receives service reports on paper days later, and discovers a spare part is out of stock only when the technician is already on site.

Solution

Job allocation, technician scheduling, service reports, spare-parts tracking, customer approvals and maintenance reminders for equipment dealers, repair firms and facility service providers.

Key capabilities

  • Job allocation and technician schedules
  • Service reports captured on site

Our solution 09 · Logistics and transport

Logistics, Fleet & Delivery Tracking

India + international

Challenge

A transport operator knows where vehicles are by calling drivers. Trip records are reconstructed after the fact, delivery exceptions surface when a customer complains, and vehicle maintenance is remembered rather than scheduled.

Key capabilities

  • Vehicle and driver assignment per trip
  • Shipment status with exception flags
  • Driver updates from the road

Our solution 10 · Manufacturing

Manufacturing & Production Operations Dashboard

India + international

Challenge

A small or mid-sized manufacturer plans production on a whiteboard, tracks raw material by walking the floor, and learns about downtime at the end of the shift. Management reporting is assembled by hand each month.

Key capabilities

  • Production planning and work orders
  • Raw-material inventory against orders

Our solution 11 · Finance operations

Invoice, Expense & Approval Automation

India + international

Challenge

Invoices arrive by email and get printed for signature. Expenses are categorised at month end from a pile of receipts. Approvals sit in someone’s inbox while they are on leave, and the accounting system is updated last.

Key capabilities

  • Invoice intake from email and uploads
  • Automatic coding with human confirmation
  • Approval routing with cover for absence

India + international

Challenge

A B2B company generates enquiries it cannot keep up with, qualifies them inconsistently, and loses track of proposals. Forecasting is a conversation rather than a report.

Key capabilities

  • Prospect records with source attribution
  • Qualification scoring against agreed criteria
  • Follow-up scheduling that does not rely on memory

What is missing

Named case studies, as they clear

Several of the builds above could carry a client name and real figures tomorrow if the client agreed. We ask, and some say yes. When they do, the study is republished here with the name, the measured baseline and the measured result — and dated, so you can see when it was verified.

If you are an existing client reading this and would be willing to be named, tell us. It helps the next business in your position decide whether to trust us, which is the only reason we would ask.

Start here

Tell us which build resembles your situation and we will walk you through what it actually involved, including what went wrong. Under NDA we can go further on a call than we can on a page.

We use what you send here to answer you and, if it becomes a project, to run that project. Nothing else. See our privacy policy.
